This is VIP: tomorrow these two cool cats celebrate their 28th wedding anniversary! Thanks for being the goofy, loving, wonderful parents you are, & thank god for the elevator you first met in back in the day.

PS I promise my dad doesn’t have three chins when he’s standing normally.

I’m nutty for those guys ^^. Here’s what else I’m  nutty for this week!

Nutty For… Veggies!
Have you ever asked someone in the grocery store, “how do I pick out the perfect [x vegetable]?” only to realize that they have no idea… even if they work there? Ponder no further: this is the only chart you need.

Nutty For… Hip Openers
I’m not sure if it’s that I run or if I’m just an 80-yr-old in a 22-yr-old’s body, but my hips are always so tight! I love these top hip opening yoga poses.

Nutty For… Arm Balances
Did I tell you about the last time I tried to get into crow pose at yoga? Either I’m totally doing it wrong or I have super bony elbows because I had two huge bruises on my arms the next day! Maybe these pointers will help me??

Nutty For… #truth
Let’s get real: we all know there are both up and down sides to blogging. Lauryn covers some of the hard truths in this post — I was shaking my head yes for the whole read.

Nutty For… Muscle
Do you know the difference between muscle building and muscle toning? Honestly, I couldn’t have completely spelled it out myself. Now I know thanks to this post.

Hey! Like my new kicks? I do. Brooks Adrenaline GTS 14. You might even say I’m nutty for them.

Here’s what else I’m nutty for this week!

Nutty For… Life
Okay so maybe you’re like “haha that’s the name of your blog,” but this list of 30 things to do every year really emphasizes how important it is actually live the life we’re given… which should definitely include #6 and absolutely #13 (<< def making this a thing in my life now). Be a nice & happy human!

Nutty For… Cleanliness
This totally made me want to vom. You can bet I’m going to do a better job of washing my fitness clothes right after I wear them (I’m looking at you smelly mat towel).

Nutty For… Pumpkin Spice
I can 100% for certain say I haven’t had a PSL yet this season… HA wait, it’s not even actually the season for pumpkin spice lattes, anyway. That starts on the 22nd, kids. Do you feel like the pumpkin spice craze has hit an all-time high this year? R29 has a great imagined list of pumpkin spice products. PS – am I the only one who pronounces “pump-kin” as “punkin”?

Nutty For… Cool Women
Back in the day, I wanted to be an EIC of a print magazine. Recently, Cosmo changed heads and landed Joanna Coles as the new woman in charge. After reading this interview, I was totally inspired & might actually start to read Cosmo.

Nutty For… Pinterest
Have you ever wondered, “how do I get more Pinterest followers?” I have, like everyday. Solution 1 is to start using it more (wink wink self 😉 ). If you’re like me, you’ll get a lot out of this list.

Nutty For… My Body
Sometimes I take everything my body does for granted. I have terrible eyes, but I can still see. I have arthritis in my knee, but I can still walk. Arman woke me up to this with his post this week – be grateful for your body.

Nutty For… SEO Tips
Lord knows I need ’em. These are some good reminders with regards to images + SEO.

Nutty For… Learning Lessons
I really resonated with this post about expectations and disappointments. I’m one of those people who easily dreams of the best possible outcome, and I often set myself up for failure that way. I’m not saying lower your expectations, but it’s important to realize that you have to be ready when life doesn’t go as expected.

Nutty For… [9.5]

So, today is supposedly the last “hot” day of the season. As a girl who isn’t afraid to say she loves fall (go ahead and call me basic, I don’t care. PUMPKIN.), I’m more than ready to get rid of the muggy, humid, sweaty days of northeastern summertime. This is just a warning: in the next few weeks, get ready for all things fall and wonderful. It’s my favorite time of the year.

Other things I’m nutty for? These links!

Nutty For… Not-Even-Trying Exercise
I’m one of those annoying people who would prefer to take the stairs (even when I lived on the fourth floor in college). Sometimes, we’re exercising and we don’t even know it. What’s more, we don’t give walking the extra distance from a far-parked car or walking three flights of stairs enough credit. All of these little things that get you moving actually do count for something. Don’t underestimate just simply moving!

Nutty for… Digestion
I’m all for trying the next best thing when it comes to digestion. Example: I used to hate kombucha (literally spit it out the first time I tried it), forced myself to get accustomed to the flavor because I knew it was good for me, and now drink it twice a week at least. I might have to try this tea soon… would you?

Nutty for… Crystals
Sometimes I like to pretend that I’m a hippie even though I know I’m really not. Case in point: Free People has had a lot of buzz about crystals on their blog lately, and I immediately wanted some for myself. And then I found this crystal-growing tutorial and I said to myself, “too far??… nah.” So I’m going to grow some crystals soon.

Nutty for… Relaxation
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: as much as I love being active, I also love to be lazy. It’s good for you!

Nutty for… Being Real
How many times have you tried to “balance” the picture of yourself you present to the world. Especially as someone who touts herself as pretty health-conscious, I always get surprised looks or remarks when I eat a burger or a bowl of pasta or something. Like… I’m human, okay?
