I created this blog in order to show you that I’m a little nutty.
In this context, nutty has several meanings:
- I’m nutty for peanut butter. And cashew butter. And almond butter. Nut butter in general, really. I eat some kind of nut or seed butter
- I’m nutty for exercise. I’ve run a few 5Ks and a half marathon. I’m going to run my 2nd halfie in Oct. 2013! I’ve also recently discovered strength training (in its loosest definition…), and I feel so much better when I sweat through a weighted circuit or bust out some squats.
- I’m nutty for food. I like to eat and cook all kinds: healthy, comfort, sweet, savory. You name it, I’ll eat it. Except pickles. No.
- I’m nutty. As in weird. Loopy. I like to laugh, and I have no shame in making a fool of myself. And I will be for the rest of my life.
Life has two meanings to me. First, I think that “life” and “living” are comprised of a few things. To really live, you need to make the most of what you have, strive to make yourself an overall better person and appreciate all the little things. Second, I use “life” literally, meaning you need to take care of your physical being in order to actually live.
My goal here is to share knowledge, workouts, food, and fun. I want to prove that it is possible to live happily and healthfully. I want to share with you little nuts of my life, including eats, outings and everything in between.
Doing what you love + taking care of yourself = Nutty for Life.
