So, today is supposedly the last “hot” day of the season. As a girl who isn’t afraid to say she loves fall (go ahead and call me basic, I don’t care. PUMPKIN.), I’m more than ready to get rid of the muggy, humid, sweaty days of northeastern summertime. This is just a warning: in the next few weeks, get ready for all things fall and wonderful. It’s my favorite time of the year.

Nutty For… Not-Even-Trying Exercise
I’m one of those annoying people who would prefer to take the stairs (even when I lived on the fourth floor in college). Sometimes, we’re exercising and we don’t even know it. What’s more, we don’t give walking the extra distance from a far-parked car or walking three flights of stairs enough credit. All of these little things that get you moving actually do count for something. Don’t underestimate just simply moving!

I’m all for trying the next best thing when it comes to digestion. Example: I used to hate kombucha (literally spit it out the first time I tried it), forced myself to get accustomed to the flavor because I knew it was good for me, and now drink it twice a week at least. I might have to try this tea soon… would you?

Sometimes I like to pretend that I’m a hippie even though I know I’m really not. Case in point: Free People has had a lot of buzz about crystals on their blog lately, and I immediately wanted some for myself. And then I found this crystal-growing tutorial and I said to myself, “too far??… nah.” So I’m going to grow some crystals soon.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: as much as I love being active, I also love to be lazy. It’s good for you!

How many times have you tried to “balance” the picture of yourself you present to the world. Especially as someone who touts herself as pretty health-conscious, I always get surprised looks or remarks when I eat a burger or a bowl of pasta or something. Like… I’m human, okay?
